Linkwood

Linkwood distillery had a slow start in the early 19th century. It opened its doors in 1821, even before the Excise Act, but was not kindly regarded for quite some time. How things have changed! Linkwood is now a beloved single malt by many a connoisseur as well as a favoured ingredient for blenders. So much so that in 1962 a second Linkwood was built beside the original to increase product. The distilleries for a while were known as Linkwood A and Linkwood B. Linkwood distillery now produces an impressive five and a half million litres of spirit every year.

Linkwood is not open to visitors.
