Cragganmore
Cragganmore ‘Great Rock’ was founded in 1869 by John Smith who was involved with Macallan, Glenlivet and Glenfarclas distillery’s. He built the distillery on the grounds of the Ballindalloch Estate. An estate and castle owned by the Macpherson-Grant family who had lived on the grounds for more than 500 years. Mr Smith also had a railway line built directly to Ballindalloch train station and Cragganmore became one of the 1st distilleries to transport its product in this effective manner. Today Cragganmore is one of the top Malts that make up the blend Old Par. Cragganmore is located in Ballindalloch which is in the Speyside region in the Highlands. Cragganmore has 2 pot stills and 2 spirit stills and has a capacity of 2.2 million litres.
Cragganmore is open to visitors.
