BenRiach
Benriach ‘Speckled Mountain’ was founded by John Duff in 1898, due to a lack of money the distillery lay dormant for 65 years until The Glenlivet Distilleries Ltd bough the distillery. In 2004 Benriach was bought over by the Benriach Distillery Company Limited with Billy Walker at the helm. The Benriach Distillery Company Limited went from strength to strength purchasing Glendronach and Glenglassaugh distilleries. Then in 2016 Brown-Forman purchased the company for a cool £285m. Benriach is located near Longmorn in the Speyside region of the Highlands. Benriach has 2 wash still and 2 spirit stills and has a capacity of 2.8 million litres.
Benriach is open to visitors by appointment only.
